Darren Hayes is about to arrive in Australia to promote his stunning new album ‘Secret Codes and Battleships’ and perform in shows on the east coast for The Secret Tour.
Willie Williams, the Show Designer (U2) says of the show: “The Secret Tour is a launch pad for some of Darren’s new songs, a celebration of the great moments of his career and a laboratory for some thrilling experiments. Our aim for this tour is to combine the intimate spontaneity with a touch of the theatricality”.
Independent Sydney singer songwriter Brendan Maclean has been chosen to support Darren on The Secret Tour. With the sound of a young Rufus Wainwright and a dash of Ben Folds, Brendan Maclean combines the fireworks of pop with a heart of folk to create a flamboyant but authentic live show. With a musical role in Baz Luhrmann’s ‘The Great Gatsby’, things are just getting started for this emerging star.
Hayes is enjoying international support for the release of his album. UK single ‘Black Out The Sun’ was added to A List Rotation on the biggest UK Radio station BBC Radio 2 and influential US blogger Perez Hilton said of the Australian single ‘Bloodstained Heart’ – “A beautiful, powerful, emotional, big, sweeping, pop song with meaning! “
Fans will have the opportunity to see Hayes performing the heartbreaking single live on X-Factor on Tuesday 25th October.
